Sea Quest I

Sea Quest I

and i, wander
to where towering spires
 rake the soft underbelly
 of the dawning evening sky,
scratching softly as they
rock gently on black, night tides
 tickling, as if to coax
a wondrous midnight sail.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
