    Serenity At Last

I sat and watched time pass me by
I wish I could grow wings and fly.
    Your voice calmed and eased
    my troubled heart and soul.
A fear and pain was in me
    that tore me up inside.

I am giving you my heart and soul
    forgiveness oh do I seek.
    My sins are so deep.

I am whole again just as we were
    before all this began.
    You are my present
    for that's all I ask
as I take on this heavy task.
For I have found serenity at last.
