Smile at The Dawn

Smile at The Dawn

She likes poems conceptualized,

Aimless thoughts don't please Her so,

i visualize these words as dots,

Connect the lines, randomized,

Sequencial rythmes of captured times,

Our vivid minds, saw sunrise rays,

Those days we'd laze away in shade,

She'd sing our songs the whole night long,

At dawn She'd look to me and say,

"I have to go" a kiss, "i'm glad you came"

Embraced with passion and then away,

Smile at the dawn, whisper Her name,

Although i knew She could never stay,

In our souls i know our Love remained,

With each day away a drop of rain,

Her memory floods my mind in waves,

A smile arrives, with it, sublime,

Songs we sang now memorized,

Thoughts of Her here, visualized,

Love we share, conceptulized.

This is a wonderful poem full of metaphores and imagery. You leave the interpretation open to the reader which reaches out to more people.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
