    Poem Commentary

The man I am one day going to marry gave me a brand-new 20 gauge Tri-Star automatic shot-gun for an early christmas present.  But he says he's not going to spend near that much on a ring...gotta love a southern man with his priorities in order :)

    So...are we engaged now?

The love of my life plunked down
    Serious change for this.
    It’s beautiful, perfect
See how it fits my hand,
Like it was made just for me.

I proudly show the old men at work,
    Wanting them to admire
    This proof of his love.
    They ooohh and awww
And clap me on the back.

    “Congratulations,” they say,
“That sure is a nice shot gun!”

LOL that is funny. Is that really how it is in the south? I love it. Your writing was beautiful. Keep on writing.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
