Sonnet #5
When tears fall down like rain
And the sun continues to hide
This cloud that bears your name
Embodies a silver line
For the long road will bend
Pot holes and blinded sight
If you wonder if I'm still your friend
My answer is "You're Right!"
No cloud can cover your bright face
No rain could wash you away
Your life, no one dares to deface
An angel can't change from white to grey
Yet if the storm brings tears from thine
My shoulder catching each tear'll, be first in line
And the sun continues to hide
This cloud that bears your name
Embodies a silver line
For the long road will bend
Pot holes and blinded sight
If you wonder if I'm still your friend
My answer is "You're Right!"
No cloud can cover your bright face
No rain could wash you away
Your life, no one dares to deface
An angel can't change from white to grey
Yet if the storm brings tears from thine
My shoulder catching each tear'll, be first in line
