    Spring Day

    Bright, beautiful, sunshine days

    Cool shadowed, morning dew

    Evening damps, deeply scented

    Breathless climbs of joy.

    Lacy dew drops

    Clinging to leaves

    Blanketing the grass

    Causing jewel laden

    Spider webs.

    Garlands of Diaphanous pearls

Strung on a blade of grass

    Bringing renewed freshness

    To the lengthening days.

    Long Days of basking

    Frolicking in, absorbing

    The warmth of Old Saul

    Making life breath

    New wonders, new pleasures.

    Treasured moments of laughter

    Gentleness, blooming,

    Growing, thriving, expanding

    Moving, airy days of warmth.

    Cloudless skies of delight

    Quickly changing

    Be peopled climbs

    Velvet lawns and heated earth

    Waiting, hoping, refreshing,

    Restoring, days of Spring.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
