Still Missing

Standing at the edge of the clearingwatching the wind blow through the grassHaunted by the face of an angelA 6 year old scared and aloneIm trying to get to himSomething is in the wayThe closer I get The further away he seemsI wake up, I had another visionBut one from the pastI pick up my old yearbookThere he is, the year was 1985The article said he was never foundI know he is gone, but to me he will always be just still missing

I like the theme here... I'm not sure if you meant it to be posted this way, ie, the paragraph conglomerate, or was it meant to be in lined verse... It's a bit tedious to read in the paragraph form....

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
