    Teach Them

Teach them where they come from
And how to be a friend
    Teach them life’s not easy
Give them tools to reach the end

    Teach them they are special
    Each a treasure found
    Love them every moment
And to their heart be bound

    Show them you are human
    And how to be contrite
    Perfection isn’t needed
They are perfect in your sight

    Teach them how to dream
And tell them it’s their right
    Listen to them always
    Hear their prayers at night

Teach them the strength of honor
And the courage they will need
    Tell them the difference
    Between just want and greed

    They will find their wings
And you must let them fly
    You have shown them how
    There’s no need to cry

    You were the teacher
    Now your job is done
    And they will teach also
    All their little ones

WOW! That is just so beautiful, I can't believe no ones sent a comment yet. You should send this into the poetry contest you would win for sure. ^_^

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
