The Chance We Miss

The Chance We Miss

So cool a day which echoes fall, and beauty blooms around...
But least I open heart and mind; I'll never hear its sound...

Its voice rang out in shades of green; so varied in its tone...
Now muffled sounds of reds and browns; some shades we've never known...

Their fruits have come, but now are gone; their seeds are left to florish...
But deaf we are to humble cries; of life sent here to norish...

All shapes and sizes pleased the sight; now withering before us...
The life which shielded life from light; reverts its life to dust...

A grip released to feed the earth; and add to life or aid in birth..

This time so overlooked by those who only reminisce...

This chance to feel lifes beauty is...The chance that we miss!

Potent tempo. [But least I open heart and mind;] - This part spoke the meaning of the piece to me. So many dimensions of life beyond the eyes. Being missed daily. Like hidden inspiration. Well written.

Thanks Deep...I'm glad you enjoyed my words!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
