The Current

The Current

There I stood on the shore
between two worlds
the great ocean before me

The surface was all I could see
looking at it I felt alone
like an outsider to an unseen life

so I dove in
put myself at it's mercy
allowing the current
to carry me along
and show me this world

Yes! the essence of our human, earthly experience; to sample 3-dimensional life and learn.

Nice Debut poem! Leaves one to ponder their own course and destination. Nice work RPT... Keep writing! :) Ken

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
