    The I of Being

    I have come so far
    But not at all
Time stands still for no one
How I ask ....can one remain strong
in the face of such adversity?
It is not for us mere mortal's now,to question the fate of our very lives
Yet how can we not..as we are but mere mortal's
At times it feels as if I am in a time warp, never truly understanding
    the meaning of these things
Yet deep down within my being
    I know
It is the knowledge handed down through the ages
The imprint of all things ,stamped in permanent ink within my soul
How can I turn back the very fate that bring me to the brink of life.
    Longing....wanting
Yet unable to change the inevitable
The struggle to know, is worse than the reality when it arrives
Can you my fellow man, feel my pain, see me bleed, quench my thirst?
    You are as mortal
    As I am

This is a beautiful thoughtful poem. Yes, we are but mere mortals. I sure can relate to this poem. Lovely.

Again, awesome! When are you getting published? Yes, I can (do my best). I have a theory that says that once you understand (life), you're gone... (only the good ones). I hope you'll find that inspiring.

We are all mortals,we have a space in the book of life that we each have to fill. And it's not the front of the book or the back of the book that people will remember. But it ishow we fillthe pages of our life that we will be remembered for. Exellent Poem

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
