the coffee mug of heaven

Poem Commentary

....i have no idea what led me to this one..i don't even like coffee!

the coffee mug of heaven

the sweet smells of chestnut roasting,
came from the mug he was holding,
lifting my body up through the clouds and into heaven,
that sweet fragrence filled my lungs with complete happiness,
that there,
was the coffee mug of heaven.
~
he began to move,
walking through the different halls,
struck by such delight,
i began to follow the man with the mug.
~
he had led me into a trap.
stopping at the office's kitchen,
he began to pour out the heavenly liquid.
panicking,
i jumped,
grabbing his mug of heaven before he could pour all its greatness down the foolish draine.
~
his face read "confused",
and i began to explain.
until his face then read "freaking out"
panicking again,
i walked away from the tall,
shady man,
mug-less he stood.
~
my face began to light up with excitment as i quickly drifted into an enclosed room,
locking the door,
i began to sip the coffee mug,
downing all of the preciousness,
all of the heavenly liquid.
~
until i stopped,
shrieking with shock and fear,
i then realize,
that it was all an illusion,
the mug of heaven,
was truely infact,
nothing but an enpty,
lifeless,
mug,
with words imprinted,
" Tea"
