The Night of Fog

Poem Commentary

Something I jotted down while a friend and I were driving down a foggy road at about 3 in the morning. It really helped to create a dark mood to write in.

The Night of Fog

Hel's desire
Book of Fire
Written in the blood
of the line of Kings and Seers

Time is a gift
Snatched from the Fates
Wary of its passage
Flying in the face of doubt

The armies of Death
March across the land
Unconquerable, unstoppable
Yet it finally fades

The tide of Death is staved
By the fires of Life and
The Hope of those yet to be
Hope fades eternal
