The Story of My Heart

It's been broken it's been torn.

The scars are always there with feelings worn.

Can't turn back time to clear my life, my memories, my loves, my losses.

People say forget, I haven't forgotten and never will.

For after a heart is torn it never really heals.

For after a heart is broken the feelings are there still.

Everyone hurts....I hurt the most because my feelins are real.

For when I love I love with all my heart and soul.

For when I love I don't get the feeling in return...the feelings I deserve.

I keep my heart locked up now until it mends.

I don't want the pain to start where it always ends.

I'll never let go until I know I am so loved by somebody's heart and soul.

Until then my heart is safe and sound, not open to the ones who always let me down.

It's been broken, it's been torn.

The scars will always be there with feelings worn.

Can't turn back time to clear my life, my memories, my loves, my losses.

The losses which are theirs not my own.

My heart will soon heal with time, for this I know is certain.

Until then my heart is locked to keep it from being broken. </3

ive felt the same way. we can never forget the loved ones we've had.if they were the wrong one we go on. we become better people and learn from experiences. just because one person does somthing that breaks our heart, the next one might not. i try to always keep and open heart.

Have you ever picked a rose in the spring, only to give it to a friend, a family member or a loved one? As time fades away that rose becomes withered and eventually it dies. But if you go back to the spot where you picked that rose, you find 10 more in it's place. You see God gave us many gifts, one of them being the rose. If you take from something that is beautiful and share it with those around you. That which you have taken from, becomes even more beautiful and more important, bountiful. This allows you to share even more with those around you. Eventually that rose is replaced by 2 rose bushes and together they grow and share. You see, the heart is like a rose. As broken and torn as it becomes, eventually it heals. As it heals it becomes even more beautiful. Your poem is well written and again I thank you for sharing it.

thank you very much

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
