The Test of A Woman

The test of a woman is the fight that she makes
The grit that she daily shows.
The way that she stands upon her feet.
And takes life's numerous bumps and blows

A coward can smile,
When there's naught to fear.
And nothing, her progress bars.
But it takes a woman to stand and cheer.
While the other fellow stars.

It isn't the victory after all,
But, the fight that a sister makes.
A woman when driven against the wall,
still stands tall, and takes the blows of fate.

With her head held high.
Bleeding, bruised, and pale!!
Is the woman who will win, fate defied,
For she isn't afraid to fail.

The first poem I read of yours was "Finished" and was somewhat sadden by it but when I read "The Test of A Woman" man was I floored! I'm new at this site an I am still learning how to get around. So please forgive me for over-reacting. I can really see your strength of character in this piece. I just love!
