This is Life?

When we are born we are subject to be

From what we have acquired by what we smell hear taste touch and see

These are the avenues by which we learn each day

By the way, what did you learn today?

Did you learn that these senses can fool you?

That they can misdirect and misguide you?

Have you put your trust in any of these?

If so give a listen to me please

The senses are here to help us along

For without a voice, how could you sing a song?

Without your eyes how would you not get lost?

But with them, what you see before you is of such great cost

Without a nose how would you ever know the scent of a rose?

Or how to find the apple pie whose scent is right under that nose?

Our taste buds are here to help us to enjoy

In the very things we have said so far, remember that pie, please enjoy

Our ears are there for us to understand

Which direction the sound is and where is the band

But if any of these were not intact

How would any of us know how to react?

But God Almighty has given us all of these and so much more

So that we can figure out how to understand and to know the score

For without Him, we would surely be lost

So use all five to seek Him daily, so that you will never ever be lost
