    What If...?

What if the way we laugh and smile at each other
Means something more than simple friendship?
What if the way you tell me to keep my head up
And look to my inner strength
Means you cared more than you will say?
What if when we talk you feel the same butterflies that I do?
And what if you realize you love me
And your other is not the one?

It’s too bad because you just might be the one I need
To bring me to the best in me.
It’s too bad because you just might be that one who takes me higher
    And deeper,
And you might be the one who lets me do me
    Without judgment or complaint,
    Or holding me back.
It’s too bad because I think I might just be in love with you…
And what if you my dear are in love with me too?
