Whispers of the soul

Can you hear my whisper in the wind?
Can you feel my touch in the breeze?
Can you see me in the waters abyss?
When the light shines down on you, can you feel my warmth cover you?
When the day turns to night and you can't find your way, look to the sky and i will shine your way.
When lightening fills the night sky and thunder sounds your ears, don't be frightened its just my passion for you igniting.
When the rain starts to fall, don't be sad for these are not tears of sorrow but tears of joy.
When the light starts to shine and the dark fades behind, don't be worried for this is not a dream but the answer to the unseen.

I love this piece, Melissa. I find it very beautiful. In my opinion poetry doesn't always have to rhyme. When you write directly from your soul your words find a rhythm and rhyme all of it's own. And this piece definitely resonates with my own soul. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
