    WHY I CRY

    Ain’t no shame in crying
I will never drown in my own tears
But I will conquer my fears

I cry when I am happy
I cry when I am lonely

I cry to make a point
I cry when I have no choice

I cry to get some attention
    I cry to release tension

    I cry to express joy
I cry to tell a story

I cry when I am sad
    I cry because that’s that

I cry when I am in pain
I cry for the sake of crying

I will never drown in my own tears
    I will conquer my fears
Therefore I feel no shame in crying

    With love

Your poem sort of justifies the occasional moisture beneath my eyes. And that's good. But humor? I'd say philosophy. I'd also say inspirational, because it provide4s an alternative outlook that's positive. Thank you.

    Thank u too.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
