    Yard Gaurd

I'm writing this poem for my neighborhood friends
And I'm still not sure how this will all end.
My first question would be how do you survive
On your mowers at 7:00 while you party at night.
Your yards are immaculate compared to mine
But I'm so exhausted from the noise all the time.
I can't sleep with mowers doing what they do best
And the loud parties at night just give me no rest.
Not wanting to be remiss as evening settles down
On the workday weeks quiet familys sleep sound.
But when Saturday comes with the yard caring din
It's my only time to lounge and perhaps sleep in.
Apparently I'm alone in this simple request
I'll probably end up labeled the neighborhood pest.
Which is OK by me since what I ask is slight
Could the weekends just be a little more QUIET!!!

    I can appreciate the feelings.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
