The thing about life
over the years I’ve learned
it's always trying to put you down.

But as I get older
and see it thru different ways
I’ve learned not to stop believing.

To never stop your world
because you love someone
who once upon a time loved you.

To take matters into your own hands
cause everyone else
have washed their hands of your problems.

To always walk with your head up high
cause right next to you
is someone trying to take them out of the clouds.

To talk to the one person you trust
because even though words speak louder
a hug or a smile can simply make a person’s day.

To be your own person
because too much of one thing
you can never stand out in a crowd filled with yourself.

To walk with love and happiness within
because by the end of the day
someone will try to take it from you
but you can always kill the meanest person with the power of niceness.

To kiss the ass of your boss
cause we all know in two years
he will be kiss yours harder.

To smile and joke about life
because the ones with their pants to tight
never know what it means to live their own lives.

To open up your heart
even though love will hurt and hate satisfies
the right one might walk in.

To open your eyes
to the one person right in front of you
who one day will walk away from you if you take too long.

To say I love you when you mean it
not because it sounds good
it can get over used and loose it’s meaning on the way.
 
Never afraid to speak your mind
never stop believing in yourself
because you never know how life will surprise you one day.
