    a simple question

why does pain and misery happen to those who dont deserve it,
why does saddness and heart ache to some never seem to quit.
why does love and happiness come to those who dont seem to care,
why does caring happen to the shallow who dont appreciate its there.

    why is a simple question,
    seldom anwsered

why does strength and power come to those who abuse,
why do those who who can help the world always seem to refuse.
why those we put our trust in always seem to fail,
why do those who try to make things right come to no avail.

    why is a simple question,
    seldom anwsered

why do we hold so dear to our ideals,
why do all the others lie, kill, and steal.
why do the few that do the wrong hinder those that are right,
why do they seem to be shocked when we get tired and fight.

    why is a simple question,
    seldom anwsered.

i don't know if anyone can answer that question. at least, not us. we all have questions like this. why did i have to lose my hand? when all i've ever done is worked with them. now, many pain pills later, i'm trying to find answers of my own. why do bad things happen to good people? hum. just don't know. but keep up the good work. maybe someday, we'll all have the answers. steve

Simple Question with a not so simple answer. I loved this. Something I'm sure everyone can relate to seeing as how, we've ALL wondered that at some point. Kinda like Why do innocent children suffer with cancer If God Is SO Wonderful? No one knows.. All we've got is the power to press on. " The harder you try to stop me, the harder I PRESS ON." -Hatebreed- Nice write. take care, all the best -Marion-

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
