Against all odds

Against all odds

AGAINST ALL ODDS ....

What would it take to feel a single caress? How must I prove that I am worthy of your heart and time? When will you open your eyes and see all I can offer you is me?
What must I do to break the mold that you have cast for all to be unable to fit? When will I see you in my reality instead of dreams? Why must I dream of love with no promise of holding it?
How does one cast aside all fear and boldly drop the armor surrounding every inch of their fragile heart?

Within the dark I have found you, step away from the haunting shadows and just open your heart to all that I wish to prove--Against all odds.

Loved this. It seems one of the few things we can't control is love. this well written prose certainly reinforces that,

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
