whisper

WHISPER

A moms life-the brightest flame
all who know you, know her name
Sitting above, long since gone
Still you swear you hear her song
The soft sweet lullaby of love
Gently soothing her ruffled dove
A broken house fallen down
Only her memories hold to the ground.

Beautiful (smiling) this is a very uplifting piece...Love does conquer in memories that light the darkness of someone who has moved on....Thanks for sharing!

A soft and haunting refrain created with beautiful simplicity. Nicely done.

You have crafted such a lovable piece. The truth you speak of is very warm. Great job!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
