    All Is Lost

    I'm sorry I hurt you, I'm sorry I left
I just needed more, I thought it was best
I don't know why I thought we could be friends
I guess I didn't realize you'd need time to mend
But now that you're completely gone
I don't know what to do, there is no more song
When we stopped talking, the music quickly fled
You totally ignored me and my heart freely bled
I just couldn't understand why you hated me
Why you couldn't understand that you still make me weak
I often regret my decision to leave
I hear your voice constantly whip through the trees
I see your face when I close my eyes
I feel your arms around me and I want to cry
I so desperately miss the power of your kiss
We were so in love, there was so much bliss
But now that you're gone, I feel so much pain
    Everything lost, but nothing gained

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
