    Poem Commentary

I wrote this when my friend lost her baby. My heart went out to her and I felt compelled to write this.

    Annilese

    You were beautiful beyond measure,
The apple of your mother's eye,
Cared for with every waking moment,
    And, even in her sleep,
    She thinks of you,

A gift from above that meant more than words,
Treasured more than anything this world has to offer,
Time can change things in an instant,
One moment, you were safe with your mommy,
    And, now, you're gone,

You are missed more than anyone could express,
    Whereever you are,
Know that you were very precious to many,
But, none more than you were by your parents,
Take that with you, sweet angel
