  • The hand of time lays heavy on heart today...

Bubbliscious

One, two velvet pink
silky fingers in my drink
no, no musn't do
useless words on one so new
Hip, hop on my breast
who's the one I love the best?
Shriek, squeal tickle feet
satin hug from one so sweet
Scold? No, wouldn't do
suddenly I'm also two
Laugh, tease, feather kiss
something I would never miss
Run, jump come this way
teaching grandma how to play
Oh, no! Mommy's here
time to say bye-bye with tears
too still afternoon
hope my precious comes back soon!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
