Darkness

Once in a dark daze
No sun arises over the horizon
Trapped in a subtle maze
Trying to find someway out

The way the breeze ceases to blow
The way the stars cease to shine
A way out I cease to know
A better way I cease to find

Alone in a world of unknown
By myself in a state of isolation
Where I stand on my own
No where sits an invitation

At last,
I can breathe again
Once more, I feel like I'm alive

The darkness no longer waits in peril
But the sun shines through the dawn
No longer have I come weary
But came for a new arise

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
