    Memories

As the year passed by, we got to know you
Our talents, troubles, and friendship we showed you
    But now you're gone
    And everything's wrong
    Your life was short
    You died too young
You used to see us almost every day
But now it's like you've gone away
But you're still close to me
Your smiling face I often see
Sometimes, people tell me it's only a dream
To those who don't believe, it would seem
    One day though
I know we'll be playing basketball on the streets of gold
In the wondrous Heaven, a thousand years old
But for now, I just remember
    How things used to be
    Memories, that can't be seen.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
