years - silence - bars

Silence

bars...

inmates.
...

years wringing soundless...

two trees...blanket ...of years.

between....

dusted with shadow ...thick powder snow -deaf

words fall

words fail

maximum security silence- prison

distance in inches ...shouts- deadened ...mist fingers- claw ears raw

still sound -less

Can you -hear?

This is an excellent written piece depicting life on the inside and life on the outside, two completely different worlds pertaining to two people on each side of the thick glass. Great write!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
