Dear Best Friend

Dear best friend I’m talking to you
I’m asking for advice
Once again I need you friend
To make my world be nice.

It seems whenever my hart is empty
Just like my nights & days
I think of laughter we shared together
And your sweet loving ways.

Dear best friend
Can you hear me now?
Can you feel my gentle tear?
Upon the soft green grass it falls
While you peacefully sleep here.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
