Peaceful
I could hear the peacefulness around us.
It was in everything I looked at.
Especially your eyes,
So clear & bright.
Protect me:
My hart cried out!
Yet my lips gave no sound or indication
Of speaking it aloud.
It only applied for a second,
For your arms possessively tightened
Their hold on me.
Did you notice the night?
So peaceful.
