Fairytale Lover

Fairytale Lover

I read a line, a verse, a poem
Of cheated love and how it dies
And in the end all it said was
That fairytales were lies.

I heard a cry deep inside me
Of a child I use to be
Memories are made of love,
Fairytales and Christmas trees.

There’s always another love
And always a cheating part
That’s when fairytales remind me
I want to be a child at hart.

So when love lets you down
And all you seem to do is cry
Just remember childhood dreams
And fairytales were sweetest lies.

Fairytale lover.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
