Poem Commentary

Poetry should be enjoyed, not criticized

Dear old friend

For those who pass, I give this task.
A favor for me, what then you ask.

Give me a sign, give me a clue.
That you’re really there, and that it is you.

For something is lost, and I am too.
This you can help, please come through.

I lost my dear friend, which friend you ask.
The one from the beginning, that accepted this task.

Lost loved ones are always around us.They leave memories we will never forget and send signs that ony those close to them will recognize as their spirit providing comfort and letting us know that they will forever remember us as well.

There is comfort in having a sign. Ask me, because I know. You said this well. Sally.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
