    Dream When I Sleep

Every time I go to sleep
    Thoughts of him haunt me
Every time I close my eyes
I see his quirky little smile
    Every dream I ever have
    Is always about him
The worst part of it is
    The dreams are always good

I dream of him holding me
    And kissing me so sweet
I wake up with a smile
    That fades so quickly
When I realize where I am
And that it was just a dream
The tears fall and so do I
    Right back to the dreams

    In the dreams
    Its all so perfect
    Nothing ever matters
    We’re together and holding on
    Afraid to lose each other
    But I love him
    And he loves me
    Like Romeo’s love story
So in love and so perfect
    And then I wake up

    Oh, I wish I didn’t dream
    When I sleep…

    He runs up to me
    With a smile and
    Grabs my waist
    And kisses me like
    No one’s watching
    Then he just holds me
    With my hand
    On his shoulder
    I see that ring
    And smile because I
    Know he’s mine

    I love how time freezes
    And everything fades
    Nothing else matters
    But then and there
    With him…

    In the dreams
    Its all so perfect
    Nothing ever matters
    We’re together and holding on
    Afraid to lose each other
    But I love him
    And he loves me
    Like Romeo’s love story
So in love and so perfect
    Then I wake up crying

    Oh, I wish I didn’t dream
    When I sleep…

God knows what I would do
To have one of those dreams come true
    To have him hold me
Like I was trying to run
    For him to kiss me
Like it was the last one….

    In the dreams
    Its all so perfect
    Nothing matters
    We’re together and
    Holding on
    Afraid to lose each other
    But I love him
    And he loves me
    Like Romeo’s love story
So in love and so perfect
    And then I wake up….

    Oh, I wish I didn’t dream…. when I sleep…

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
