    The Waltz

    Ta-dum Ta-dum
    The waltz begins
    He takes my arm
    And leads me in

    The sea of people
    Seems to part
    As my breathing speeds
    As well as my heart

    He takes my hand
    His arms around me
    Our bodies float
    As if in a dream

    The music quickens
I fly out in a spin
    When I spin back
    He has vanished

    I look around
    My heart breaking
    Where did he go?
    Why did he leave me?

    I fall to the ground
    My tears advance
    Brimming over my eyes
    Falling onto my dress

    Then just like a breeze
    He waltzes back in
    Takes my hand
    And we dance again

    But life goes on
    And he makes me smile
    He shows his true colors
    Every once in a while

    Ta-dum Ta-dum
    The waltz begins
    He takes my arm
    We dance again.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
