    Emptiness

     I go through the daily grind
    and do the things that are
    required of me.

    I am void of emotions,
    an empty shell being tossed
    around in an endless circle.

    No where in particular to go,
    just wandering around aimlessly
    drifting from here to there.

    Who am I is the question,
    I am someone who longs to
    be accepted but never will be.

    Well I think you summed up the "Emptiness" thing. It is difficult to be in this place. Many of us have shared your experience during our lives. Don't give up on your purpose. We each have one and sometimes it takes courage to find it. God Bless!

    It is hard for some to bare their emotions so as to become more vulnerable, and it seems you've done just that! I commend lyou for such transparency of self, to have it in this poem.Certainly there must be a friend to share your thoughts with. you have written very clearly the images of your barren state of mind. Thanks for what may have been a difficult write to express.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
