    Standing still

     All I want is to be free
    from these restraints that hold me back
    from being all that I can be.
    I don't know what is wrong with me
    or why I do the things I do
    maybe I'm crazy and just don't know it.
    Everything keeps moving forward
    and i'm standing still in this
    single, solitary spot.
    I cannot seem to make any progress
    i'm unable to move in any direction
    no matter how hard I try.

    Sometimes I feel like this too,but then I realize that I'm not really just standing still because I am constantly learning new things about myself and life.On the outside sometimes the changes will be so miniscule at first,but after awhile it appears as if mountains have been removed from my path.Have patience,keep the faith and hold onto your dreams as they are the inner fire than propells a person through the rough spots in life.Thank you for sharing this very powerful and deeply emotional poem.
