Just me
Trying to get my thoughts together
which is not an easy thing to do.
So many things run through my mind,
it gets confusing at times.
It's easier to hide away in the realm of my mind
because it is there that I can't be touched.
A safe protected haven away from
the harsh reality of life.
I close my eyes and drift away to a place
where I can be me, free to create
and enjoy the hidden pleasures
and secret desires that I hold inside.
I know I must face the obstacles
along the way no matter what they are
or how difficult they seem to be.
Time to come back to reality.
I visit this place often to calm myself.
It brings me peace and serenity.
It helps me to stay focused and
true to myself.
