No more

I close myself off and shut the door,
I lock it tight, put boards across
and nail them in to make sure
that no one can break through.

I reached my hand out to you
in friendship but you twisted it
and made it into something
it was not intended to be.

You made it seem like I wanted
more from you then you were
willing to give but I only wanted
to be your friend and nothing more.

I block the light coming from you
and go back to the darkness.
No point in trying to explain,
The connection we shared is
now broken beyond repair.

I can definitely relate to this. You did an amazing job at wording it...
