Hug me, Tonight

Hug me, Tonight

Hug me, tonight and perhaps we can forget the past together.
A past of memories lost by self-neglect
and the way you used to care about me.
Hug me like tommorrow will never come for us
and yesterday was never there.
Whisper into my ear and tell me your name
like we are meeting for the first time
and I will forget all you ever said to me before that.
Hug me tight, like winter is near and the only warm place
for you is in my arms because that is
where you have always wanted to be.
And I will hug you back, knowing that
this is the moment we both have been waiting for.

You're true to your form, and honest at heart. I like what you write too :) Oh by the way, I got more posted up- see what you like about it.

nice. I like the images you use, like "tell me your name like we are meeting for the first time" and the one about winter. It felt serious, genuine, and warm. Nicely done. ^_^

I have had these very moments in life. Great work felt like I was there.

I see you look for peace... peace for the both of you... A quality that shines with the simplicity of love

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
