    Things That Shouldn't Matter

Before I forget about you completely, I wish to know you a little bit more. I wish to spell out your name a million times and make a datafile of you. I wish to see you in my mirror, smiling at me. I want to call you in the middle of the night and talk to you for hours about the things that shouldn't matter to us anymore and ask you questions that have nothing to do with you.
Before I forget about you completely, I wish to know you a little bit more and not feel you when others say your name. I want to tell you that i love you and feel nothing of your part in return. I want to see you with someone else and feel that I have lost you for good.
Before I forget about you completely, I wish to see you happy and know that you forgot about me.

This poem is very deep, it expresses many different aspects of one's personal reality! You want to get to know someone, however, you know the reality and outcome of what will probably happen, a relationship ended, but you want to feel this, you want to have fun, but you want to leave with no hard feelings! Very deep for someone so young, very mature, awesome poem!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
