I have walked

I have walked

I have walked in silence
Beneath the silver moon
Held vigil over empty dreams
That ended way too soon
I have caught the stars that fall
Like teardrops from the sky
And held the corpse of promises
Taken by a lie
I have fought the battles
And often I have won
Have lifted voice and lifted heart
And watched it come undone
I have strived and hoped and prayed
And fallen at the way
Walked the straight and narrow
And lead myself astray
But once, just once in silence walked
Beneath the silver moon
a different time, a different me
Who faded all too soon.

nice nice.. how do u write maam? like, through emotins? feeling them all?

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
