It seems like I'm floating

It seems like I'm floating

I don’t know why I’m still floating
This boat should have sunk a long time ago
Living has left my body beaten
Yet God made a way to get me home

I am not tired
though the storm blows around me
My spirit’s altered in a way
I’ve never known

The enemy comes to condemn me
with words of weakness
But by his grace
The healing waters flow
( that I have had the wisdom to resist its trap)

Wash over me Living water
Wash over me Overflow
Wash over me Living Water
Wash over me Fill my soul to Overflow

I know that he guided me here,
I never knew the way alone
Suffering for his sake
became my privilege so few can describe

Some would say that I am a martyr
and others say its not worth it
But I have caught a glimpse of his Glory
and his face is all I see

Shaking down the fruit that came from the tiny seeds I planted
Pruning the tree so close has caused a harvest to flow
I fully expect his wisdom and power to be my destination
And in that vision healing and my inheritance is fulfilled

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
