    Wonder...

    Wonder…
    Where I’d be
If you hadn’t died for me
    And saved me from myself
    Guess I’d
    Still be confused
Cause I’m a mess without you
Don’t think I would have gotten very far

I searched and I found you
I ran from you so long
I can’t believe you waited on me
    It doesn’t seem fair that
    I kept stringing you along

    I left the safe place
Where you told me to stay
Even when I pushed you back
    You never went away
    You reached out for me
Holding me high above the storm
    You stayed strong for me
    Keeping me safe from harm

    Run back to you
Run back to the place I know
    Run back to you
And back to your love that helps me grow
    Run back to you
You’re the only Home I’ll ever know
Your grace will help me know

Now I know you never let me go
Never farther than your outstretched hand
In your reach you guided me (And with great wisdom you guided me)
    You had a master plan

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
