    Joyous Tears

    Joyous tears falling down
    Joyous moments all around
That gentle look in your eye
    The unspoken question why
The salty trail along your cheek
The quaver in your voice as you speak
    The loss of words evident
    As my question you circumvent
The answer either yes or no
The question brings your life to the brink
And on this question you say you must think
You hand me back the ring with a sigh
    Again the unspoken question why
    Joyous tears falling down
Past the smile now a frown
    For what might have been
For what might not have been
    For what will not be
    Just another broken hearted memory

I really like the way this is written.... but the title threw me off. I could see if the joyous tears were yours at first........?

good work.. kinda brings back my past.. very easy to get into this one...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
