    The view from the verge

    Standing on an Indistinct Line
The blur between light and dark
The gray between black and white
    The view from the verge

    The place where judgment
    Becomes harder to judge
Where contrasts are not so sharp
    The view from the verge

    The place where the mind
Opens to all points of view
    Open to eliminate all impossibilities
    The view from the verge

    The place where you see
    Through others eyes
And walk a mile in there shoes
    The view from the verge

    The place where you feel
    What others feel
    And why they feel it
    The view from the verge

The place where you find what it means
To be another for a time
And know what brought them to this point
    The view from the verge

    The place where you learn
The true you and its existence
    The feeling of your heart
    The view from the verge

    Standing on the line
    Where good blends with evil
    Where conservatism becomes liberalism
    The view from the verge

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
