The Man on the Corner
A Man on the Corner,
He is an American,
Treated worse than any foreigner.
What we do not understand,
The thinking and philosophy,
Of this man.
Nor do we care to,
Ignoring him a policy,
Kept by me and by you.
What he might know,
If we do not ask,
We will never know,
Should we ask him,
What could we,
Possibly learn from him?
How could he know,
Anything at all,
That I do not know?
Hmmmm…..I wonder how,
He came to live,
Right here, right now.
An interesting story I bet
Hmmmm…..I bet it,
Is a story I will never forget.
Yes I’ll ask him
Oh, where is he
Now, I can never ask him.
Now I’ve lost my chance
To ask him, who knows,
If there’ll ever be another chance?
He is an American,
Treated worse than any foreigner.
What we do not understand,
The thinking and philosophy,
Of this man.
Nor do we care to,
Ignoring him a policy,
Kept by me and by you.
What he might know,
If we do not ask,
We will never know,
Should we ask him,
What could we,
Possibly learn from him?
How could he know,
Anything at all,
That I do not know?
Hmmmm…..I wonder how,
He came to live,
Right here, right now.
An interesting story I bet
Hmmmm…..I bet it,
Is a story I will never forget.
Yes I’ll ask him
Oh, where is he
Now, I can never ask him.
Now I’ve lost my chance
To ask him, who knows,
If there’ll ever be another chance?
