    Let Misery

Let misery walk in my front door
Let it knock me down and watch me hit the floor
Let it show me all my mistakes
And tell me how to live and everything it takes
Just let misery burn his memory in my head
Let misery make me regret the words I never said
Let it play with my open wounds
Let it torture me till it finds something better to do
Let misery in and put all its pain on me
Just let it do what it wants to never let me be
Let misery make sure I never forget him
Let it remind me over and over again
Let it cut its way into my heart
Let it feed it poison and rip it apart
And after it's done with putting me through this
His memory will only be carved on my wrist

OMG....You scare me young lady...please I hope this was not your thought of taking your life, cutting your wrist. I pray dear Lord that I am wrong...But, if I am right please know that you are not alone..so many go through unbearable torture and still survive. I AM A SURVIVOR and I am 56 so you can do it...if you ever want to talk...just let me know...YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
