For I walk my lonley miles, alone and sometimes scared
But the road on which I travel becomes easier when someone cared
Enough to lend a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean upon
Even if they're in our lives for a moment, and then the next day gone
I don't take things for granted, I try my best each day
To leave a tiny footprint as I travel on my way
To touch someones life is special, but to touch their heart is great
To live your life with kindness and love, push aside jealousy and hate
Fill your every living breath with desires and dreams
Don't live your life devoted to empty evil schemes
Be happy that you've been given another day to make someone smile
And keep on believing in your dreams, always go the extra mile
So don't follow in someones elses footprints, just leave your own behind
And each and every day you get, open up your heart and mind
To see each persons dreams and desires, never take away their hope
Always be there to lend a helping hand, make someones life easier to cope
Don't leave a footprint that's heavy for it will scar and only bring pain
Leave a gentle soft imprint my friend, and what you do won't be in vain
If someone doesn't help themselves, then just quietly walk away
